Local storage on this website

If you dismiss the small notice about cookies/fonts at the bottom of the site, we store one preference in your browser’s localStorage (key: comparer_notice_dismissed). That value is only used so we do not show the same notice again. It is not sent to Comparer servers.

Third-party connections

• Google Fonts — typography files may be loaded from Google’s servers when you open this site. Google may receive standard technical data (such as IP address and browser information) as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Search engines — if you use “Research alternatives” in the extension, your browser opens a third-party search site. That site may set its own cookies under its own policy.

Browser extension storage

The Comparer extension uses your browser’s extension storage (not website cookies) to remember recent comparisons on your device. This data is local to you and is not uploaded to Comparer.

How to control cookies and storage

• Clear site data for this domain in your browser settings.
• Block third-party cookies in your browser if you prefer.
• Clear extension data via the extension’s “Clear” control or by uninstalling it.

If we ever add cookies (for example, optional analytics), we will update this page and the notice on the website before doing so.
